What is Sodium bicarbonate?

Sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO₃) is an inorganic compound. It is a white crystalline powder, odorless, alkali and soluble in water.  In humid air or hot air that is slow decomposition, carbon dioxide, heated to 270℃ complete decomposition.  When exposed to acids, they decompose strongly, producing carbon dioxide.
Sodium bicarbonate is widely used in analytical chemistry, inorganic synthesis, industrial production, agriculture and animal husbandry production.  Sodium bicarbonate can be used to produce acid and alkali fire extinguishers and foam fire extinguishers. In rubber industry, sodium bicarbonate can be used for rubber and sponge production.  Sodium bicarbonate can be used as flux for casting steel ingot in metallurgical industry.  In the machinery industry, sodium bicarbonate can be used as a molding assistant for casting steel sand mold.  In the printing and dyeing industry, sodium bicarbonate can be used as dyeing printing fixing agent, acid and alkali buffer, fabric dyeing and finishing rear treatment agent;  Baking soda is added to the dyeing process to prevent blotches from forming and is used as a detergent for wool.
